  1. What is your character name? Barry Berkman What is your Discord username? XSqeakerRageX#9540 Why do you wish to join the San Andreas Highway Patrol? Furthermore, what separates you from other candidates and makes you an asset compared to other applicants? I've been in the lucid community for 16 months and i wanna show what i can do as SAHP, what sets me apart from others is I've been and experienced everything i can in lucid such as crim, lawyer and ems so being a cop would be nothing but a small step up for me. In your own words, explain what differentiates state law enforcement from local law enforcement, including jurisdictional concerns, and what duties you will expect to perform in the San Andreas Highway Patrol. Additionally, what other qualities do you believe sets the Highway Patrol apart from other agencies that operate in and around Lucid City? Local law enforcement (LCPD) can respond to calls in the city and San Andreas Highway Patrol ( SAHP) patrol on the highway and northern paleto areas, However SAHP can respond to calls in the city when permitted. What is your priority in a situation - preservation of life (including a potential hostage situation) or catching those involved? Why? I believe at the end of the day no matter what SAVING and PROTECTING lives is 100% the main goal, If there is a gun pointed at a potential hostages head it would be very unrealistic to not value the hostages life and get the hostage back at all cost necessary. While on patrol as a base-rank Trooper, you find yourself having a few negative run-ins with a Corporal after a minor issue on-duty that you felt was resolved. You feel that your disagreement with them goes beyond professional levels and that perhaps this corporal has a personal issue with you. How would you proceed in dealing with this issue, knowing that a Corporal is a supervisor-in-training and a superior rank to you? I would suck it up and move on but if it got to a point where it was a pressing issue i would report it to hr/ a superior and let them handle the issue from there. While on patrol as a Trooper, you respond to a pursuit of armed felons that just committed a murder. You strike a civilian vehicle in the pursuit. Neither vehicle is disabled and there are no injuries. How do you proceed? I apologize, make sure that they are all ok and when everything is good i reattach to the chase. While on patrol as a Trooper, you respond and arrive on-scene at a bank robbery at the Fleeca Bank on Great Ocean Highway. While setting up a perimeter and beginning to negotiate with the suspects inside, you receive notification of a panic alarm being activated from an LCPD officer. How would you respond? While I'm at the Fleeca Bank on Great Ocean Highway if a panic button was heard i would leave the scene immediately respond to the 10-99 to any and all officers. While on patrol as a Trooper, you respond to a call of suspicious activity - possible narcotics trafficking - in the vicinity of Grove Street. You observe a heavily tinted vehicle exiting the scene as you arrive and decide to pull the vehicle over for a traffic stop. Potentially citing case law as well as reasonable suspicion and probable cause, what are you empowered to do, and what would you do to investigate? Additionally, if the vehicle were to flee immediately upon sight of you, how would that change things? I would begin the stop with citing the reasons of why i pulled them over, secondly i would then ask them what they were doing in the area and based and their probable/un-probable answer i would ask them to step out and advance the stop from there, if the suspect where to pull off i would call it in and begin chasing the suspects vehicle. Do you agree not to ask staff members and/or command staff to look at this application? Yes
