Why do you wish to join the San Andreas Highway Patrol? Furthermore, what separates you from other candidates and makes you an asset compared to other applicants?
I want to join the San Andreas State Police because I think I would make a great fit and I always wanted to become a police officer after leaving ems I was a physician for a while then I left and I heard you guys are doing combat medics as well as being an officer plus I can listen to orders well and after serving almost 5 months as a doctor I think I would be a great fit for your department also I want to protect the innocents from the guilty and after being on the sidelines from saving lives and bringing officers back up to help save the city from the monsters that prowl the street looking to cause violent acts in the city and give the city a bad name I want sandy to be a safe side of the city where you can leave your door unlocked during the night and not worry about the drug deals and shootings going on outside and I say no more cause I vow to save to the city and i can learn radio codes really fast and I'm a real quick learner
In your own words, explain what differentiates state law enforcement from local law enforcement, including jurisdictional concerns, and what duties you will expect to perform in the San Andreas Highway Patrol. Additionally, what other qualities do you believe sets the Highway Patrol apart from other agencies that operate in and around Lucid City?
Troopers and officers may seem very similar but I assure your they are not they go through very different training and use the same gear and cars but pretty similar sop and some of this stuff might be the same but highway patrol Police are not meant to be labeled the same as Local Departments in the city highway patrol have more jurisdiction
then the city police department can also come work in the city as well but mostly on sandy shores and surrounding area like the freeways and highways and country roads
What is your priority in a situation - preservation of life (including a potential hostage situation) or catching those involved? Why?
saving lives is always our goal if any of my partners are down my main concern will always be the first and foremost make sure the hostages are protected and look after then criminals after the lives are saved
While on patrol as a base-rank Trooper, you find yourself having a few negative run-ins with a Corporal after a minor issue on-duty that you felt was resolved. You feel that your disagreement with them goes beyond professional levels and that perhaps this corporal has a personal issue with you. How would you proceed in dealing with this issue, knowing that a Corporal is a supervisor-in-training and a superior rank to you?
if that would happen and my higher ranking officer did something that I don't feel was done right or was unprofessional I would take it to a higher ranking up the chain
so that they can deem it if I did something wrong or he just has it out of for me I would take my evidence and logs of the incident and let the higher ranking officer. Going to the next higher-up would allow them to decide based on the incident brought forward whether it is a situation that needs to be sent up or not if he deems it needed he can take it higher up the chain of command and it will be dealt with accordingly
While on patrol as a Trooper, you respond to a pursuit of armed felons that just committed a murder. You strike a civilian vehicle in the pursuit. Neither vehicle is disabled and there are no injuries. How do you proceed?
for this scenario, I would make sure the civilian car is okay and making sure all the passengers are safe if it was a massive crash I would give them my id and badge number so they can take it for their insurance claims and such and if I was the only officer in pursuit I would say I'm sorry and continue the pursuit if no one was injured or killed and no car damage was done
While on patrol as a Trooper, you respond and arrive on-scene at a bank robbery at the Fleeca Bank on Great Ocean Highway. While setting up a perimeter and beginning to negotiate with the suspects inside, you receive notification of a panic alarm being activated from an LCPD officer. How would you respond?
if there are a lot of units already there I would ask my other high-ranking officers where they want me at the moment I know we would have to split up to that 10-99 above all
and going forward to that 10-99 I would radio my call sign and say my callsign 10-97 to that 10-99 and after I arrived on the scene I would make sure the scene is safe for me to pull up by scouting the surrounding area then checking on my fellow officer and take him to the hospital if it clear and I would call for back up if it is not and slowly work my way up to my officer once it is clear and deemed safe for me to move up
While on patrol as a Trooper, you respond to a call of suspicious activity - possible narcotics trafficking - in the vicinity of Grove Street. You observe a heavily tinted vehicle exiting the scene as you arrive and decide to pull the vehicle over for a traffic stop. Potentially citing case law as well as reasonable suspicion and probable cause, what are you empowered to do, and what would you do to investigate? Additionally, if the vehicle were to flee immediately upon sight of you, how would that change things?
I would radio my call sign saying responding to a suspicious vehicle leaving the scene of a crime and I would pull him over and ask for backup in case he tries to flee and describe the car over the radio and plate number after that gonna ask him to kill the car and dropped the keys out of the window and then I would approach the window driver side and ask what he was doing and saying we had a report of a suspicious vehicle leaving the scene of a crime of suspicious activity and I would ask him to step out of the car and ask if I could search him or if he wants i could ask for a k9 unit to search for drugs it's his choice, either way, im gonna try to make it easier for him then if he runs im gonna call my call sign and saying I need assistance on the chase and chase the car and give updates on the chase as i follow the car till it crashes or i get help in the chase and once i catch him i would call it on the radio saying all clear or a code 4
