  1. What is your Steam profile link? https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197988467755/ How many hours do you have on Lucid and / or FiveM? 5 hours What is your Discord username? beefstrap#5495 How old are you? 28 What is the name of your character? Carl Burger How old is the character you are applying with? 28 What is the phone number of the character you are applying with? 3010289074 What is the background of your character? Joined the military out of high school to get out of a troubled home, spent 7 years as an enlisted grunt packing sandbags and crawling through the dirt. Suffice to say it isn't like the movies. Left after I realized I had no future as a grunt, tried going to school but didn't want to deal with the bull. Moved to the county about two years ago doing dead end jobs to buy food and gas for my car, that I also live in. Need a change of pace from chopping wood and slaughtering chickens. What are your previous jobs and / or current affiliations? Currently working at the lumber mill chopping wood, makes decent money but feeling like I could be doing something more interesting than this. Why do you want to be a pilot? When I was a kid I thought pilots were the coolest guys around, plus the freedom that it brings being in the sky and providing a service to those that need it. What makes you different from other individuals that are applying? I have an extensive background in shitty jobs, I know how to grind out a living and focus at the task at hand, very fast learner with accuracy and precision being my forte. Excellent communication skills and a no bullshit way of doing things, I also handle pressure very well and never panic if something unexpected happens. What kind of experience do you have related to flight and piloting? I have flown many aircraft and have FAA certification under FAR 25 for cargo planes as well as a semi-competent Air Traffic Controller during my time in the military. How active can you be a week? 20+ hours Any additional questions? How much training is given and how long is the training?
  2. I finally came to the conclusion that he maybe he was right. Maybe there's no such thing as heroes. Maybe there are just people like my dad. I finally came to understand why they were so uncomfortable being called heroes. Heroes are something we create, something we need. It's a way for us to understand what's almost incomprehensible, how people could sacrifice so much for us, but for my dad and these men, the risks they took, the wounds they suffered, they did that for their buddies. They may have fought for their country but they died for their friends. For the man in front, for the man beside him, and if we wish to truly honor these men we should remember them the way they really were, the way my dad remembered them.
