  1. What is your character name? Kris Curious What is your Discord username? Kriss#1519 Why do you wish to join the San Andreas Highway Patrol? Furthermore, what separates you from other candidates and makes you an asset compared to other applicants? Since I've joined Lucid city I have admired how the public service departments run and operate, I personally have dedicated a lot of time to the city and I really enjoy the RP scenarios created by the police. I've experienced how it's to be a criminal in the city, whilst being a criminal I have been arrested multiple times and I admire the way they handle situations and I am really eager to try it out myself as it seems there is a lot more roleplay experiences and fun to be had as a police officer. What separates me from other cadets is that I've been a police officer in a smaller city and I know the basics behind being a lawful police officer, as I have been a police officer I know how to create better interactions and roleplay between me and the civilian or the suspect and giving everyone an enjoyable roleplay experience. Another fact that separates me from other cadets is that I've been playing Fivem for a while now and my driving skills are fairly adequate due to the fact I do a lot of bank robberies on my criminal character (Kris Ren), interactions between me and police seems really interesting to me as I always want to see and explore other peoples perspective. Another factor is that I am always eager to learn new skills and try new things. Personally, I would say that I'm a fast learner who learns from their mistakes and I take criticism positively as the people who train me only want me to succeed and progress further. In your own words, explain what differentiates state law enforcement from local law enforcement, including jurisdictional concerns, and what duties you will expect to perform in the San Andreas Highway Patrol. Additionally, what other qualities do you believe sets the Highway Patrol apart from other agencies that operate in and around Lucid City? Local law enforcement is a law enforcement agency that is responsible for enforcing laws in a city, town, or county. Police investigate crimes and enforce laws within a town or citysheriff's department typically serves. Local law enforcement is tasked with the detection, investigation, and prevention of crime. The role of a state trooper is to enforce motor vehicle laws and regulations and to arrest criminals Statewide and patrol highways. The main purpose is to uphold the laws of the jurisdiction, provide patrol, and investigate local crimes. What is your priority in a situation - preservation of life (including a potential hostage situation) or catching those involved? Why? Well as a criminal for the last couple of months I've taken hostage many people throughout my time in the city and having plenty of encounters with police negotiators, I've learned that preservation of life is the most important priority for a police officer and if I do get the chance I will enforce that "preservation of life" is most important in scenarios. It's important that we treat this like we would in real life and preserve the hostage's life and ensure their safety, as it's not about just taking them to the hospital. While on patrol as a base-rank Trooper, you find yourself having a few negative run-ins with a Corporal after a minor issue on-duty that you felt was resolved. You feel that your disagreement with them goes beyond professional levels and that perhaps this corporal has a personal issue with you. How would you proceed in dealing with this issue, knowing that a Corporal is a supervisor-in-training and a superior rank to you? In this scenario. I would ignore negative remarks made toward me however still listen to what he says as he's higher than me and also the fact we are on duty. After the ordeal has taken place I would gather evidence of the Corporal making bad statements toward me and eventually, bring it up to a higher-ups attention and see what they think of the situation and the way they want me to handle it. While on patrol as a Trooper, you respond to a pursuit of armed felons that just committed a murder. You strike a civilian vehicle in the pursuit. Neither vehicle is disabled and there are no injuries. How do you proceed? I would radio into the other officers and tell them to proceed with the pursuit of the armed felons and slowly pull over to the vehicle that we collided with and ensure they are safe and inform him that whilst we have sirens and lights on that they should slowly pull over to the side and let us pass by, then I will listen to the comms given from the pursuit and swiftly return to the pursuit in place. While on patrol as a Trooper, you respond and arrive on-scene at a bank robbery at the Fleeca Bank on Great Ocean Highway. While setting up a perimeter and beginning to negotiate with the suspects inside, you receive notification of a panic alarm being activated from an LCPD officer. How would you respond? I would keep in mind the number of available units we have in the city at the time of the panic and listen to any further statements made by the officer in distress and ensure that there are units heading towards him and if so I would do my best to preserve the life of the hostages inside the bank whilst also listening for further information regarding the officer in distress. If there is an active shootout I would immediately wrap the bank scene up and let the suspects go and make my way toward the possible downed officers. While on patrol as a Trooper, you respond to a call of suspicious activity - possible narcotics trafficking - in the vicinity of Grove Street. You observe a heavily tinted vehicle exiting the scene as you arrive and decide to pull the vehicle over for a traffic stop. Potentially citing case law as well as reasonable suspicion and probable cause, what are you empowered to do, and what would you do to investigate? Additionally, if the vehicle were to flee immediately upon sight of you, how would that change things? I Respond to the call of possible narcotics trafficking and pull over the heavily tinted vehicle. I will show my presence by turning on my lights and going to perform a 10-11 once the civilian or civilians have slowly pulled over to the side of the road I will explain to civilian that there has been a call to possible trafficking of narcotics in the area and observe the civilian's behaviour and reactions to my statements. Once I and the civilian have exchanged some sentences I would swiftly ask if I could search the vehicle and if the civilian denied me to do so I would explain that I have probable cause to search the civilian or suspect vehicle and him or her for illegal narcotics as there has been a 911 call about narcotics in the area and he/she is the only one leaving the area. If the now the 'suspect' drives away I would call in radio that I'm going to be in an active 10-80 call out the car's model and ask for additional units towards the direction which the suspect is heading and continue radioing his positions within the city. If the suspect is caught we would be searching the suspect's vehicle and him or her for narcotics. The suspect would also get an additional charge of disobeying a lawful officer and possibly reckless driving. Do you agree not to ask staff members and/or command staff to look at this application? Yes
