  1. What is your character name? Saleem Saturday What is your Discord username? Sam Eliodas Kushy Why do you wish to join the San Andreas Highway Patrol? Furthermore, what separates you from other candidates and makes you an asset compared to other applicants? I wish to join the San Andreas Highway Patrol because I have always wanted to bring peace and justice to my community and keep the streets as safe as possible, what differs me from others is that I have a passion for this as a close friend/brother of mine didn't go down such a good path and it affected my harshly. I will perform to my fullest capability In your own words, explain what differentiates state law enforcement from local law enforcement, including jurisdictional concerns, and what duties you will expect to perform in the San Andreas Highway Patrol. Additionally, what other qualities do you believe sets the Highway Patrol apart from other agencies that operate in and around Lucid City? state law - Sheriffs and their deputies are responsible for patrolling an area's state and federal routes, as well as its unincorporated or unpoliced municipalities. Many states have highway patrol and/or state police officers, too, who commonly are found along highways enforcing state traffic, criminal or civil laws. Local Law - The main difference between these officers and those at the state or federal level is they are the initial enforcement front for all criminal laws. With chiefs who are usually appointed by the mayor but sometimes elected to higher positions. What is your priority in a situation - preservation of life (including a potential hostage situation) or catching those involved? Why? my priority is to preserve the innocents life in al cases, the likely hood of a criminal repeating a crime is likely, then hopefully be able to bring them in. While on patrol as a base-rank Trooper, you find yourself having a few negative run-ins with a Corporal after a minor issue on-duty that you felt was resolved. You feel that your disagreement with them goes beyond professional levels and that perhaps this corporal has a personal issue with you. How would you proceed in dealing with this issue, knowing that a Corporal is a supervisor-in-training and a superior rank to you? if the circumstance ever occurred i would wait until a proper time to talk about the situation and just tell the superior my thoughts to try and solve the issue as soon as possible without it escalating While on patrol as a Trooper, you respond to a pursuit of armed felons that just committed a murder. You strike a civilian vehicle in the pursuit. Neither vehicle is disabled and there are no injuries. How do you proceed? tell the civilian my badge number, name and contact info to deal with the situation at a better time. While on patrol as a Trooper, you respond and arrive on-scene at a bank robbery at the Fleeca Bank on Great Ocean Highway. While setting up a perimeter and beginning to negotiate with the suspects inside, you receive notification of a panic alarm being activated from an LCPD officer. How would you respond? i would respond the the officer in need. most likely the robbers have hostages to negotiate and not harm and should be okay as long as demands are met and everything goes smoothly. While on patrol as a Trooper, you respond to a call of suspicious activity - possible narcotics trafficking - in the vicinity of Grove Street. You observe a heavily tinted vehicle exiting the scene as you arrive and decide to pull the vehicle over for a traffic stop. Potentially citing case law as well as reasonable suspicion and probable cause, what are you empowered to do, and what would you do to investigate? Additionally, if the vehicle were to flee immediately upon sight of you, how would that change things? I would ask for the person the step out of the vehicle so I can confirm the person is innocent and not part of the situation. if the vehicle flees i would radio to other responding officers give the location, direction and details of vehicle/driver and assistance. if there are no other officers on scene i would then just radio suspicion on the car. Do you agree not to ask staff members and/or command staff to look at this application? Yes
