Why do you wish to join the San Andreas Highway Patrol? Furthermore, what separates you from other candidates and makes you an asset compared to other applicants?
One of the things i love about this city is the peace there is when comparing it to a regular gta v online lobby. You can drive around, meet people and have fun in a way i haven’t seen before, and i love it! But sometimes you find bad apples that want to mess it up. I would love to help to keep that peace and control, and this is one of my favorite ways! By keeping everybody safe, policing and enforcing the law!
A little about me, i’m 25, i actually live in Spain, so i know to lenguages, and that also means i could be a little earlier that most other people if needed to, i can work hard hours. I believe i’m a people person, easy to deal with, not a trouble maker and i’m ready to learn! I handle criticism well, and i’m ready to be a part of the SAHP family!
In your own words, explain what differentiates state law enforcement from local law enforcement, including jurisdictional concerns, and what duties you will expect to perform in the San Andreas Highway Patrol. Additionally, what other qualities do you believe sets the Highway Patrol apart from other agencies that operate in and around Lucid City?
So I believe the main diference is that Local polices takes care of the actual city, smaller problems, day to day stuff. While state police would take care of the rest of the state, the policing of the highway and also help local police on bigger problems if needed to! (I’ll try to stick to short answers, i guess you wanna get to know me instead of a 4 pages wikipedia article.)
What is your priority in a situation - preservation of life (including a potential hostage situation) or catching those involved? Why?
The live of a citizen is always the priority, even more while in a hostage situation. The SAHP has to serve and protect its people, you may have the chance to catch the same guy many times, that citizen only has one chance, so we must take it.
While on patrol as a base-rank Trooper, you find yourself having a few negative run-ins with a Corporal after a minor issue on-duty that you felt was resolved. You feel that your disagreement with them goes beyond professional levels and that perhaps this corporal has a personal issue with you. How would you proceed in dealing with this issue, knowing that a Corporal is a supervisor-in-training and a superior rank to you?
I actually don’t like discussions, I would say sorry even if it’s not my fault just to get away of an argument, i’ll try to fix it with that superior face to face in a friendly way, i don’t care. I do not take things personal, and i think that’s fine. Makes me agreeable and that’s a trait. But if it comes to it, that i actually think is something really bad, or disrespectful enough that i must do something about it, i would go to another superior to try to figure it out, or just follow the normal procedure to make a claim on the department.
While on patrol as a Trooper, you respond to a pursuit of armed felons that just committed a murder. You strike a civilian vehicle in the pursuit. Neither vehicle is disabled and there are no injuries. How do you proceed?
I must check if the civilians are good, and if everything is alright apologize and continue the persuit.
While on patrol as a Trooper, you respond and arrive on-scene at a bank robbery at the Fleeca Bank on Great Ocean Highway. While setting up a perimeter and beginning to negotiate with the suspects inside, you receive notification of a panic alarm being activated from an LCPD officer. How would you respond?
I believe i must answer the panic alarm and try to figure out what’s the best option. But probably go asap to get the panic alarm sorted, and tell on radio to get some extra cops back to Fleeca Bank. Again, a citizen/police life is more important that money. Please note that i’ll try to do both! But if i have to dich one, would be the robbers over my police partner.
If that is not the correct answer i’m open to learn the right way to know how to make the right choise.
While on patrol as a Trooper, you respond to a call of suspicious activity - possible narcotics trafficking - in the vicinity of Grove Street. You observe a heavily tinted vehicle exiting the scene as you arrive and decide to pull the vehicle over for a traffic stop. Potentially citing case law as well as reasonable suspicion and probable cause, what are you empowered to do, and what would you do to investigate? Additionally, if the vehicle were to flee immediately upon sight of you, how would that change things?
If i believe that car is suspicius i could pull him over, to a little recon, interrogation, many questions to see if there is a hole in his story. If i see or if he says something bad enough to give me probable cause then i could do much more. If not, i have to stick to asking for ID’s and interrogations. If i do much more, might be harrasment and bad rp.
If the vehicles flees would change things a lot, now they gave me probable cause and if i get them again i could asked them out of the vehicle, cuff them for running away and check them and the car to see if there’s anything ilegal.
