  1. What is your character name? Lamar Omar What is your Discord username? Lullaby#7094 Why do you wish to join the San Andreas Highway Patrol? Furthermore, what separates you from other candidates and makes you an asset compared to other applicants? I wold to join SAHP as I believe it would be the most fun and have more serious RP encounters to enjoy, I joined the community as I have long enjoyed the interesting RP scenarios and I have lots of enjoyment interacting with SAHP. I also want to take down more criminals, being a victim of crime is never fun and a being proud member of the community I want to see a safer and fairer community. In your own words, explain what differentiates state law enforcement from local law enforcement, including jurisdictional concerns, and what duties you will expect to perform in the San Andreas Highway Patrol. Additionally, what other qualities do you believe sets the Highway Patrol apart from other agencies that operate in and around Lucid City? State law enforcement concentrate on statewide criminal investigations and are there to support the local police in responding to crime and dealing with criminal investigations. Local law enforcement concentrate on their own respective areas and deal with specific issues with their constituents. So if an incident happened in the north area of Los Santos SAHP would most likely be the first responders to the incident. All of this culminates in close working ties between diferent law enforcement and multi-agency responses to certain incidents and SAHP plays a very important part in this. Highway patrols are sometimes conducted by almost all law enforcement however SAHP have a much larger part to play as SAHP's area is statewide. What is your priority in a situation - preservation of life (including a potential hostage situation) or catching those involved? Why? The main priority in such a situation is ALWAYS preservation of life, catching those involved can always happen later on however life is the foremost priority for any law enforcement department as we are here to prevent loss of life. Catching those involved will only happen after we ensured the safety of all potential hostages. While on patrol as a base-rank Trooper, you find yourself having a few negative run-ins with a Corporal after a minor issue on-duty that you felt was resolved. You feel that your disagreement with them goes beyond professional levels and that perhaps this corporal has a personal issue with you. How would you proceed in dealing with this issue, knowing that a Corporal is a supervisor-in-training and a superior rank to you? I've always believed that communication is key and effective communication can resolve a lot of issues, I would engage with whoever has a personal issue with me and attempt to remedy the situation. I know that there can be disputes and arguments but it is key to resolve them as soon as possible, we're in a work environment and not resolving issues would have an impact on all parties negatively. If all else fails I would have to report the issue to prevent the issue from going any further. While on patrol as a Trooper, you respond to a pursuit of armed felons that just committed a murder. You strike a civilian vehicle in the pursuit. Neither vehicle is disabled and there are no injuries. How do you proceed? If all parties are safe and well and the vehicle has not been disabled and I have made sure of this personally I would continue with the pursuit if there we no other officers chasing as occupants of the bandit car are armed and dangerous and may cause further harm if left alone. If I have other colleagues chasing I would stay and exchange details with the occupants of the civilian car and then return to assist my colleagues. While on patrol as a Trooper, you respond and arrive on-scene at a bank robbery at the Fleeca Bank on Great Ocean Highway. While setting up a perimeter and beginning to negotiate with the suspects inside, you receive notification of a panic alarm being activated from an LCPD officer. How would you respond? A panic alarm being activated by my colleague would mean that they're in serious danger. I would immediately stop what I was doing and begin making my way over to the officer in need of assistance. I would always value the lives of my colleagues over a bank robbery. While on patrol as a Trooper, you respond to a call of suspicious activity - possible narcotics trafficking - in the vicinity of Grove Street. You observe a heavily tinted vehicle exiting the scene as you arrive and decide to pull the vehicle over for a traffic stop. Potentially citing case law as well as reasonable suspicion and probable cause, what are you empowered to do, and what would you do to investigate? Additionally, if the vehicle were to flee immediately upon sight of you, how would that change things? Whenever I am about to pull a vehicle over especially one I suspect of possioble narcotics trafficking, I would inform my colleagues of my location, give information of what I was doing and what type of vehicle/description of the vehicle I was stoping. I understand that any situation I encounter could potentially be life-threatening so I would be cautious and ask the occupants of the vehicle to exit and then go into detain them after, I would then explain to the detainees that I had received a call of suspicious activity at the location and possible drug-trafficking however I do not have immediate probable cause if I have not witnessed any hand-offs etc, I would speak to them and identify if there is any further grounds to suspect them of drug-trafficking. If the vehicle does not stop I would begin to give commentary of the pursuit over radio informing my colleagues I required assistance and where the vehicle was fleeing to as I pursued after it, if they have fleed I have probable cause to search the vehicle after the pursuit due to their behaviour of attempting to make off from Police.
