  1. What is your character name? Jimmy Cooks What is your Discord username? azii#0806 Why do you wish to join the San Andreas Highway Patrol? Furthermore, what separates you from other candidates and makes you an asset compared to other applicants? I want to join SAHP because I want to be able to bring a lot more fun and serious RP to the community which I would find very fun and good for the Lucid City community to do as an officer of SAHP. I want to bring more criminals off the streets and make the streets a lot more safer for the community. I know I would be able to devote a lot of time being a great officer and would love to make some what of a difference to the community and to SAHP by being loyal and very active officer. In your own words, explain what differentiates state law enforcement from local law enforcement, including jurisdictional concerns, and what duties you will expect to perform in the San Andreas Highway Patrol. Additionally, what other qualities do you believe sets the Highway Patrol apart from other agencies that operate in and around Lucid City? I know that SAHP is different from LSPD because SAHP focuses more on stopping crimes up in the northern parts of the city like the highways leading up north like Sandy, Paleto and all the places in between them. For example a fleeca is getting robbed in the city the first responders would be LSPD because they operate more in the city. I feel that SAHP has more differences from other law enforcement by the good personality from everyone on the force but also always having the seriousness in the situations needed. What is your priority in a situation - preservation of life (including a potential hostage situation) or catching those involved? Why? My priority would be to value the hostages life over anything and try to get the hostage out alive without harming anyone, after the situation is over and the hostage is secured and know that they are safe, i would then catch or look for the person who had the hostages or hostage in the situation. Even if there was an easier way to get the hostages out there we couldn't risk harming the hostages unless we have a very good plan on how to execute it safely. While on patrol as a base-rank Trooper, you find yourself having a few negative run-ins with a Corporal after a minor issue on-duty that you felt was resolved. You feel that your disagreement with them goes beyond professional levels and that perhaps this corporal has a personal issue with you. How would you proceed in dealing with this issue, knowing that a Corporal is a supervisor-in-training and a superior rank to you? I would try speak to whoever has a personal issue with me and try to resolve the issue as good as I possibly could. It isn't good to have negative vibes in a workplace as it could interfere with other peoples work. also if we are out there in serious or kind of tense situations a negative environment or even a negative feeling on one or two people could effect the whole workplace While on patrol as a Trooper, you respond to a pursuit of armed felons that just committed a murder. You strike a civilian vehicle in the pursuit. Neither vehicle is disabled and there are no injuries. How do you proceed? If both vehicles aren't disabled, I would ask them if they are okay just to be fully sure nothing has harmed them, once I find that they are fine and no medical attention is needed, I would let the other officers know and hopefully they can continue the chase While on patrol as a Trooper, you respond and arrive on-scene at a bank robbery at the Fleeca Bank on Great Ocean Highway. While setting up a perimeter and beginning to negotiate with the suspects inside, you receive notification of a panic alarm being activated from an LCPD officer. How would you respond? I would stop everything I'm doing and go to the panic alarm in hopes there is enough officers to stay there at the bank, and if not it wont matter, a bank being robbed isn't as important as a law enforcement possibly losing their life While on patrol as a Trooper, you respond to a call of suspicious activity - possible narcotics trafficking - in the vicinity of Grove Street. You observe a heavily tinted vehicle exiting the scene as you arrive and decide to pull the vehicle over for a traffic stop. Potentially citing case law as well as reasonable suspicion and probable cause, what are you empowered to do, and what would you do to investigate? Additionally, if the vehicle were to flee immediately upon sight of you, how would that change things? If I were to pull over a vehicle whom was potentially involved in possible narcotics trafficking, I would radio in letting my fellow officers know what's going on, as well as giving them a description of the car. I would then proceed up with caution ask the suspect or suspects to exit the vehicle and detain and explain to them that we would be searching them and the vehicle as we have suspicion of possible narcotics trafficking. If the vehicle was to flee the scene that would give us more of a probable cause of narcotics trafficking, and then proceed to stay in pursuit as i radio whats happening and ask for backup. Do you agree not to ask staff members and/or command staff to look at this application? Yes
