Unreasonable Ban Length

I got Perm banned for telling ems to fly out of the city that wasn't even clocked in with no previous bans On record or warnings then soon reduced to 40 days is this ban length reasonable? I do not think so at all I'm a loyal member who follows the rules as best as I can I made a mistake and understood what I did was wrong but it doesn't take 40 days to understand that and now I'm stuck playing Madden till Christmas while my friends continue to progress without me.
