Why do you wish to join the San Andreas Highway Patrol? Furthermore, what separates you from other candidates and makes you an asset compared to other applicants?
I wish to join SAHP because I have always wanted to serve the state in any way I can and this might be a good start in doing so. My experiences as a Law Enforcement Officer and a leader in other cities separates me from other candidates alongwith my kind nature, and I believe it would make me an asset for the organisation.

In your own words, explain what differentiates state law enforcement from local law enforcement, including jurisdictional concerns, and what duties you will expect to perform in the San Andreas Highway Patrol. Additionally, what other qualities do you believe sets the Highway Patrol apart from other agencies that operate in and around Lucid City?
State law enforcement such as the Lucid City Police Department have their jurisdiction within the city, whereas the local law enforcement, Sheriff's Department and the Highway Patrol, work outside the city limits, meaning the said organisations only work and respond to crime within their jurisdication, unless their assistance is requested by the enforcement agencies of other jurisdictions. The duties I expect to perform in the San Andreas Highway Patrol is to Patrol the highways (obviously) keep crime off the streets and help the agency in every way possible. The qualities that I believe set the Highway Patrol apart is that there isn't many people outside the city and in the county, which makes it easier for criminals to commit crime there, so being a part of highway patrol would definitely be a privilege to help the citizens.

What is your priority in a situation - preservation of life (including a potential hostage situation) or catching those involved? Why?
Preservation of life would definitely be my priority in any situation as I believe catching criminals at the cost of citizens getting hurt or killed is not an ideal trade. You can always find another chance to catch the said criminals.

While on patrol as a base-rank Trooper, you find yourself having a few negative run-ins with a Corporal after a minor issue on-duty that you felt was resolved. You feel that your disagreement with them goes beyond professional levels and that perhaps this corporal has a personal issue with you. How would you proceed in dealing with this issue, knowing that a Corporal is a supervisor-in-training and a superior rank to you?
Firstly, I would try to work as hard as I can to change their opinions about me, however, if that does not help, I would resolve it at a personal level, asking the Corporal if I have done something that offended them and if there is any way I can make it right. I would only escalate the situation if we cannot set our differences aside when we put our uniforms on and it creates tension between the two of us while on duty. I believe that my co-workers do not need to like me as long as we can co-exist to our fullest potentials.

While on patrol as a Trooper, you respond to a pursuit of armed felons that just committed a murder. You strike a civilian vehicle in the pursuit. Neither vehicle is disabled and there are no injuries. How do you proceed?
I would apologize to the person driving the vehicle, even if it wasn't my fault and continue the pursuit.

While on patrol as a Trooper, you respond and arrive on-scene at a bank robbery at the Fleeca Bank on Great Ocean Highway. While setting up a perimeter and beginning to negotiate with the suspects inside, you receive notification of a panic alarm being activated from an LCPD officer. How would you respond?
I would try my hardest to make sure that the suspects do not know that one of the hostages is an LCPD officer, once the situation has cooled down and the area is clear, I would safely escort the officer back to base.

While on patrol as a Trooper, you respond to a call of suspicious activity - possible narcotics trafficking - in the vicinity of Grove Street. You observe a heavily tinted vehicle exiting the scene as you arrive and decide to pull the vehicle over for a traffic stop. Potentially citing case law as well as reasonable suspicion and probable cause, what are you empowered to do, and what would you do to investigate? Additionally, if the vehicle were to flee immediately upon sight of you, how would that change things?
In a situation like this, I believe I am entitled to perform a full body search on the suspect as well as search the entire vehicle for any contraband. In case the vehicle were to flee upon sight, I would chase them, ask for backup and try to pull over the vehicle. If the suspect is caught, he would be charged for incompliance regardless of any contraband.
