  1. While at a house warming party that was advertised on twitter, a protest was also announced both on the Ads app and Twitter, stated that it was at PD. Jack O'Meara supports the police but thinks its important to hear the protests instead of scold and sneer for disagreeing with the actions of the PD. From what was gathered at the protest, the protestors were of the mind that Waves was arrested for nothing more than smoking a cigarette. The protest proceeded oddly, with the protestors seemingly having no real plan and getting themselves run over repeatedly before thinking it a good idea to move onto a sidewalk. From there the protestors were unable to restrain their baser insticts and eventually stormed the PD itself, and while a surely worrying and scary sight from inside it was quite an interesting one from out. Pictured: Protestors rush the doors of PD after being hyped up and escalated by the Gambinos arrival from their party.
  2. Jack "Jacques" O'Meara is a paragon of the common man. The eldest of two sons, Jack was born to Lila d'Moisson and Donovan O'Meara in the respectable city of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Growing up with an Irish lawyer as a father and a nurse as a mother, Jack was taught the value of community and cooperation from an early age. Serving in the role of elder brother by four years, Jack has also learned the values of protection and upholding what you preach. A hard worker from a young age, Jack has never scoffed at taking a bit of time to accomplish his goals and practices patience and honour as his primary defining traits. Jack moved to Lucid City in the pursuit of a chance to redefine himself. Montreal had become a trap to him, full of faces that were uncomfortably familiar and having seen every nook the Canadian city had to offer. An early, positive interaction with the police has reinforced the values taught to him in youth, and he admires the community the city houses, proud to have found a new home.
  3. New SASP application from Jack O'Meara. Character Name Jack O'Meara Discord and Steam Drip-Man#9581 | Nitebeam (Steam) County and Region Canada, Ontario Age (18+) 22 How long have you been playing on the server? 18hrs~ Why do you want to join SASP? The passive and active roleplay provided by LEO roleplay is some of the best roleplay to be found on the internet. I am quite familiar with this sort of environment, I was raised by a cop and come from a LEO/Military family so the sort of environment provided by the PDs of these serious RP servers is very comfortable to me. It provides structure and fun, since it is still roleplay. But the structure helps me keep on track with roleplay and provides so many wonderful roleplay opportunities not only for myself, but for myself to have WITH the Lucid City community. I know roleplay is literally what we are all here for, but I seek the structure of the institution, a position that I know I will take seriously, and a wonderful spot that I can contribute much more frequently and in greater scale to/with the community. On top of that, I have implied in the previous paragraph that I have had experience with these sorts of institutions before, and while I am new to GTA RP this is still true. I am a refugee for lack of a better term from GMod roleplay, where most of the truly serious roleplayers have disappeared in search of better roleplay whether its on ARMA, GTA, or elsewhere. I come here and seek eagerly for somewhere to slap on some new police boots after a few years away from a RP-LEO position. I acknowledge that with 18 hours I am a very unsavory choice for such a position, but I hope my previous experience and willingness to approach the situation prepared to listen and roleplay instead of exert power and make a moment about me will allow this application to be more heavily considered. He is new in city, but is eager to help and represent the best. What depicts SASP from the LSPD? The main difference is that State Police has jurisdiction over the entirety of San Andreas, and LSPD has jurisdiction in city. The practical and tangible effect of this in server would be that you may find a State Trooper on the highway near Paleto, but you would hopefully NEVER find an LSPD officer on patrol near Sandy Shores. For further example, an LSPD officer may be able to chase up to a mile or two out of the city limits before they are out of jurisdiction, whereas the SASP would have no such problems. What do you have to offer? Experience with this sort of roleplay that other members may lack, an understanding that it IS roleplay and not an actual true LEO position that some tryhards may not grasp, and the desire and ability to represent the core values that any LEO should have. Truth, fairness, unity, but also strength, rigidity, and reliability. Calmness and tactical thought over brash, aggressive action. I can offer not only what I already bring, but also the willingness and eagerness to learn and listen while I am trained and taught how the SASP works and the SOPs used by them, and the ability and willingness to approach situations with the knowledge that my superiors will absolutely know better. I also come WITHOUT the ego and insecurity that leads some who want to become cadets and officers to become toxic, power hungry people. The ability to separate roleplay and characters from real situations and real people. What roleplay have you been primarily carrying out in Lucid City so far? Jack O'Meara has been an honest man (stolen a few local vehicles, but have to get around somehow) doing honest work. He's done delivery driving for some 24/7 jobs and did some work for a nightclub also doing deliveries. Outside of those jobs, he worked as a lumberjack for a bit shortly after arriving in the city from Montreal, and enjoys driving people around the city free of charge to get to know people in a kind and friendly environment. All around, I have wanted Jack O'Meara to be a beacon of the common man in Lucid City. What makes you suitable for this department? I believe my experience both with ROLEPLAY Law Enforcement specifically and with TRUE Law Enforcement officers to be a true benefit. Growing up around police let me know what these officers are like off-duty, and how to be a true man both when in front of everyone and when you're alone. I believe I am suitable for this department because I don't see going "on-duty" as a chore or as an act I have to put on, but as an opportunity to bring GOOD roleplay and bring good, fun encounters to the community. It's an opportunity to represent the values that people WANT the officer who pulls them over to have, an opportunity to represent the values that people don't have faith cops have typically. Jack O'Meara was pulled over once, for going a bit over the speed limit mostly as training for a cadet more than anything else, and that specific encounter is sort of what is pushing him and encouraging him personally to want to become a cop. He had a wonderful encounter with the officers, whose names neither he nor I recall, and it made him want to be the sort of person who acts as a beacon for those values. So that people getting pulled over expect THAT sort of encounter instead of a violent or rude one. Have you received any disciplinary in the pas, as well as any bans or warnings? If so describe why. I had a single sit on my first day in city, and the long and short of it was that I was unaware a "voice box" could break which led to some security being confused as to why I was taking the actions I was taking (I was feeling threatened and drove into one of them at slow speed as a result, but from their PoV I seemed mingey). Once the situation was explained by the staff member, I promised to resolve it and to not meet her again in such a situation. I have kept and intend to keep that promise. Do you know what the chain of command is? If so explain it and, do you agree to comply with it? The chain of command is a basic concept that all military and police use as a foundation for their power structure because of its efficiency. To break it down in the barest basic concept, which is the only way I can process to type it out like this, it is a system where a group of people all report to one person above them who is a member of a group that all report to one person who is a member of a group that reports to one person and so on, this effectively makes it so the person at the top or the person making the relevant decision has ALL available and relevant information available to them. The idea being that if you believe there to be an action that MUST be taken and are demanding it happen, the person above you may know that action would ruin another plan or operation that you have no idea is in progress or in the area. Do you agree that you will act respectfully and maturely at any and all times? Yes Do you understand that you could receive consequences from your supervisors if you fail to follow the rules? Yes All applicants are required to read and understand the community policies, have you done so? Yes Do you understand that you can be removed or blacklisted from the department if you receive a certain amount of disciplinary actions? Yes Do you agree not to ask staff members or members of the department command staff about this application? Yes Do you understand that you must show respect regardless of age or affiliation? Yes Do you believe you put the necessary effort into this application? Yes You get a call that there is a bank robbery in Paleto bay, there is a Sergeant from the state police present, and a commander from the Los Santos Police Department, who takes command of the situation in regards of jurisdiction? The Sergeant, LSPD has no jurisdiction in Paleto as I believe I used as a specific example earlier.
