  1. What is your character name? Jimmy Henderson What is your Discord username? KingBarky #2221 Why do you wish to join the San Andreas Highway Patrol? Furthermore, what separates you from other candidates and makes you an asset compared to other applicants? I feel I want to bring sense of justice to the system, San Andreas is filled with Corruption and speed racers. Having me part of the team would make a big difference, I don't tolerate nonsense and you can't wiggle your way out of anything. Don't mistake my kindness for weakness. I may be polite, but if anyone takes advantage of that, id be sure to put them in their place. In your own words, explain what differentiates state law enforcement from local law enforcement, including jurisdictional concerns, and what duties you will expect to perform in the San Andreas Highway Patrol. Additionally, what other qualities do you believe sets the Highway Patrol apart from other agencies that operate in and around Lucid City? state-level officials work for a state agency and enforce state laws, but have no jurisdiction in federal matters whereas local sheriffs or police officers work for municipalities and enforce local and state laws within that municipality, but generally have no jurisdiction outside of that area they operate in. Some of the duties include - DUI detection and apprehension, Drug interdiction, Safety education, Accident investigation, Rendering medical aid to sick and injured. I believe Highway patrol also deal with mostly vehicle related issues where other agencies would be based upon vehicle, robbery etc.., at least its more often there. What is your priority in a situation - preservation of life (including a potential hostage situation) or catching those involved? Why? Priority is always the safety of others, regardless of the situation, no matter is to serious to put others lives at risk, for example in a hostage situation you would be assesing the situation and do your best to rather save the victim than try apprehend the suspect. While on patrol as a base-rank Trooper, you find yourself having a few negative run-ins with a Corporal after a minor issue on-duty that you felt was resolved. You feel that your disagreement with them goes beyond professional levels and that perhaps this corporal has a personal issue with you. How would you proceed in dealing with this issue, knowing that a Corporal is a supervisor-in-training and a superior rank to you? I would say to report it within discord. Bringing it to the moderators attention, yes its nothing serious but something like this can worsen the more you avoid speaking up. While on patrol as a Trooper, you respond to a pursuit of armed felons that just committed a murder. You strike a civilian vehicle in the pursuit. Neither vehicle is disabled and there are no injuries. How do you proceed? You can go back apologize for the damage caused and report this to your immediate supervisor. While on patrol as a Trooper, you respond and arrive on-scene at a bank robbery at the Fleeca Bank on Great Ocean Highway. While setting up a perimeter and beginning to negotiate with the suspects inside, you receive notification of a panic alarm being activated from an LCPD officer. How would you respond? Stay calm, rather not react to it, showing form of panic or fear due to a series of events can provoke the suspects. Rather continue to negotiate with the suspects to try to resolve the issue. While on patrol as a Trooper, you respond to a call of suspicious activity - possible narcotics trafficking - in the vicinity of Grove Street. You observe a heavily tinted vehicle exiting the scene as you arrive and decide to pull the vehicle over for a traffic stop. Potentially citing case law as well as reasonable suspicion and probable cause, what are you empowered to do, and what would you do to investigate? Additionally, if the vehicle were to flee immediately upon sight of you, how would that change things? Since you have reasonable suspicion and probable cause, you should be able to ask the suspect to exit the vehicle for a search, if the suspect were to flee, it would turn into a pursuit where you report it in for backup to assist with either roadblocks or spikes. Do you agree not to ask staff members and/or command staff to look at this application? Yes
