Damien Jones devoted his life to basketball. His father pushed him towards this goal after seeing how much natural talent Dame had. His mother demanded that he spend as much effort on school as he did on basketball. Damien went to a good college on a basketball scholarship, while pursuing a degree in business. Dame graduated from college and after a couple years of playing basketball in Eastern Europe, was picked up by a team in the NBA. Dame didn't have the natural talent and skill that other players had, but his knowledge of the cognitive side of basketball was unparalleled. Dame knew that he wouldn't last long in this league and so he decided that he needed an alternate route of securing his future. Dame's sense of business that he cultivated over a life-time dedication to his education allowed him to get meetings with the best referees in the business. This is when Damien started his underground organization within the league. For the few that knew of this organization, its power was unparalleled. Damien owned the referees, and anyone else could own them too, for the right price. Damien made millions by selling championships to those willing to pay for them. Eventually, the scope of his organization started looking into college basketball as well. Damien made enough money for multiple generations, until he was eventually found out. Damien served 6 years in prison for his underground corporation, and all of his assets were liquidated. Damien Jones moved and is now looking for a new start in the city. While jail time is not something that Dame is looking forward to, the money and power that was afforded to him while managing a multi-million dollar black market business have corrupted Dame's character. Illegal activity is not something that Dame is searching for, but also not something that he will shy away from.
