Meet Greg Nepson . Greg is what you would call ..... a sociopath . All his teenage life he wondered what it would be like to understand or know ......or even care what another human being is feeling . Lack of human interest let him focus more on his work and his excellent grades in school gave only the best scholarships . Opportunities he did not waste . "If I can never feel anothers pain , then I will strive to understand it " He spent years earning medical and psychological degrees . The books could not explain the thing he needed most . Only the logic behind it . Further studies pointed him towards those of the criminal mind . Any type of interview with criminals would be met with lies as no criminal would openly expose themselves to a doctor . "Ive got to get closer to them sooner " he thinks to himself . Surely a police officer sees the worst in a criminal , right ? He strolls thru crime scenes with ease only thinking "this is not soon enough. I need to know more " . Interviews as a police profiler also led to nothing . His job in the force was brief but this allowed him to notice something else very important . Criminals and murderers are capable of some pretty nasty things . But it is the police that are forced to stare at the goriest crime scene photos for hours ...... the police that have to watch that little girl get shot in the face over and over again just to get a simple clue . They would never confess their feelings to anyone . "Im getting to them too late . They are driven to suicide , insanity , and criminal lives themselves " One night while sitting in his favorite bar , he noticed the television showing footage of the war . The journalist was walking among a fresh battlefield interviewing soldiers . The look in their eyes told him all he needed to know .
