Retired Soviet radio show host and former associate of the Russian mafia Sasha Slatnikov attempts to create a new life for himself in the legendary City of Angels. After being ousted by his former gang for leaking vital information to law enforcement (Which to this day will deny he ever did it), Sasha was forced to defect from his home in Russia to avoid what could have been. Plunged into a new city with no money and family left behind, Sasha finds himself in a land unfamiliar, so he decides he must do what he does best. Although a relatively young 42, Sasha stands 5'11" with a gray, receding hairline and overwhelmingly large widow's peak. He attempts to hide his past through the kindness of his words, but the stress of life is worn by him at all times. After the decline of radio shows had effectively killed his own, Sasha has been inspired by the new generation to take his interviewing skills to the streets... or so it seems. Covered by the ruse of creating internet content with the interviews for "Sasha's Street Show," Sasha attempts to swindle information out of people by throwing them off with his intimidating accent, relentlessly kind demeanor, and inviting blue eyes. If that doesn't work, a trade for money or other info will always be in Sasha's interest. After making off with a hefty haul of new intelligence, Sasha bides time and waits for the right opportunity to divulge it to someone else, for the right price of course. Which is often way too low, because the man is just too genuine for his own good, no matter how determined he is to be harsh. Consistently roped into degenerate acts by his constituents, he is known to do a job from time to time, but has never felt a calling to the criminal life as many other people have.
